Expect The Unexpected
24 May 2014
After the announcement a few nights ago that I won, a meet and greet plus tickets to Taylor Swift's Red Tour on June 6, I have never in my entire life felt so blessed. After 6 years of praying and wishing that someday I'll meet one of my biggest idol, it is finally happening! The second I saw my name on the screen I couldn't contain my emotions, I screamed, cried and ran to my parents who were in the living room chatting. They had no idea what was happening until I calmed down. It was the happiest night of my life... so far.
I remember telling Nicole last year that I'm already happy with a General Admission ticket, but to my dismay the tickets got sold out in 2 hours, so apparently I was "ticket-less". I was really determined to watch Taylor perform live but my only chance is to join contests and that is exactly what I did for months. After failing the 3 contests I joined (Spinnr [UPDATE: I WON HERE TOO, June 5], Soundcheck and Selecta Cornetto) I almost gave up... until my inner voice told me to try again. This time I was more hopeful and positive that I'll get what I have always wanted if I invest more effort into it... and I was proven right. I was only aiming to get tickets to her concert but I got MORE than I actually aimed for, and that is meeting TAYLOR SWIFT in person. I was on cloud nine!
A lot has happened after, both good and bad. I'm very grateful for the people who were extremely happy and excited for me including those whom I don't know personally. Congratulatory messages kept coming in and I couldn't be any happier... but we all know that not everything will be candies and glitters.
Hates, disgusting words and death threats were popping in my notification as well. As much as I don't want to admit it - the things they were throwing at me hurts in so many ways. It got to the point that I wished I never won... but then again I know that's ridiculous. When I joined the contest, I wasn't thinking of the consequences I'll be getting if I win, it never crossed my mind not even once. My eyes are already opening up to the world and realizing the fact that not everyone is mature enough in accepting rejection. Jealousy is a trait common to people who has not gone beyond the confines of their ego! After days of dealing with these kind of people, I gave it a rest. After all, I'm the one meeting Taylor Swift, not them... :)
People judge because they want to put others down and satisfy their egos. Obviously, people are going to bring you down because of what you do, your social status and who you are. But in the end, they make you a stronger and braver person. They're a blessing in disguise, I guess. Just don't dwell on them too much because that will only attract them more and attack you harder. I am not innocent here, I know that I have hurt someone too in one way or another but it didn't get to the point that I would mentally kill them and wished that they were never born. That's already too much. I learned to be more careful with the words I use, because they will only be forgiven not forgotten...

I would like to take this chance to thank everyone for being there for me. Your positive comments kept me going and gave me comfort. To the people who made "Saskia Supporters" on Twitter (HAHAHAHA), you know who you are and I love you for sacrificing your time defending me when you can be doing something more important. To Taylor Swift Pilipinas and Iya Villania your kind words mean so much to me. To the haters/bashers and to the people who keeps calling me "Swifteroo & Swifterina" keep on hating guys, it's not like it would give you more chances of winning. You have no idea what I have been through and the efforts I put into my entries. To everyone who are currently joining contests to win Red Tour Manila tickets, don't give up! If the tickets are meant for you, it will be but if not then accept it. To the future winners: BEWARE! it comes with free haters. Just be the better person and never stoop down to their level :)

20 Ways You Can Be The Best Friend Ever
20 May 2014
Nicole and I have been best friends for more than a year now... remembering our High School days I can't believe we ended up as best of friends. Back then we never shared stories nor hang together, though we were in the same clique, I never felt comfortable being around her. I can even recall the time when I told one of our friends that I get envious whenever they choose to hang out with her more than me. I guess, that's just one of the High School dramas. My mistake was I quickly arbitrate her instead of getting to know the person first. It was a lesson learned for me because when I finally got the chance to know Nicole we suddenly clicked!
Throughout the years we spent as best friends I learned that best friends are always there for you no matter what, who will listen and help you at any cost. Someone who will always be there for you... who wont judge you, and will accept you for who you are. You can share secrets with them and know that the world won't know the next day. You can cry on their shoulder and know that they care. Someone who you can depend on and trust completely. A person you love, and that means a lot to you.
So if you have a best friend that you cherish the most, this post is for you! Here are my TOP 20 ways that you can be the Best Friend Ever:

30 Facts About Me
6 May 2014
I made a random poll earlier on Twitter about what to write here on the blog because surprisingly I have no idea what to talk about. I've been too busy reading Wattpad stories (Harry Styles fan fiction to be exact) that I barely have time to catch up with reality! As exaggerating as this sounds, but this is like the first time I've touched a keyboard again after almost a week. I've been on my phone reading stories for hours and I only stop to eat, take a shower and tweet. That has been my every day routine for the last 7 days. This obsession is killing me to be honest, and I don't know why this is happening to me when I'm about to turn 20! Isn't this what 13 year olds usually do?
Anyway, like what I've just said earlier I made a poll and a lot of my Twitter followers asked me to talk about "love, cheating or how to make a relationship last", as much as I want to talk about it I honestly have no motivation to. I don't know maybe I'm not yet ready for it due to my lack of experience *ehem not ehem* or simply because I don't have anyone right now and I couldn't really relate... yet. Maybe in time I will :) But right now, I feel like doing something fun! Something that I have never done before until now. Like what I've said in my earlier posts I want to be a bit more personal or interactive here on the 'ol blog so I decided to try this out. I’m hoping that you’ll enjoy reading these little facts about me!

Still Waiting
25 April 2014
I don't know what got into me but I composed a song last night... After reading an article online I've realized tons of things about life and how I should reflect on it more rather than thinking of the superficial ones. I have a journal with me all the time and it keeps me company whenever I feel alone, lonely or just feel like writing down something. I was browsing through it earlier this morning and I couldn't believe how far I've evolved as a person. Although I'm still a kid at heart who shrieks at almost all the boy bands (especially One Direction) and cry over shallow things, I'm a few months away from turning 20 and there's no turning back. Soon enough, I'm going to start making decisions on my own and learn to act as a young adult.
My teenage dreams are nearly ending and I'm already doing my best to live each moment because this will eventually pass whether I like it or not. To all my readers who just turned 13 or perhaps in the early stage of adolescence, ENJOY IT! stay in the moment and don't do something you will regret in the future. A lot of people have told me this but I guess I never listened... I always dreamed of becoming an adult, working and enjoying the freedom that comes with it. It's part of growing up and we couldn't blame anyone for that.
I haven't decided on what I want to be in the future yet... whether I should continue blogging, become a flight attendant or whatever job fancies me. It's crazy to think that sooner or later I have to decide on that too. Sometimes I wonder if I have the jack-of-all trades syndrome or some kind of a weird disorder because all of the people my age or even younger have already decided what they want to be and are in the peak of their careers. I don't know maybe God has something better in store for me... Who knows?
We all are still waiting for our moment to come... for now, we should learn how to appreciate the smallest things and stay in the moment. If you feel like things are not running that way you planned it, remember that right now is not our time but eventually God will get tired of putting us on hold and start giving signs. We just have to be patient and be confident in whatever we do. I always keep this in mind, in fact some of the few phrases here are from my journal which I read and look at whenever I feel like giving up.
I'd love to share with you the lyrics of the song I just made but I feel like it's not publish-worthy and needs a little editing. Don't worry, in time I will with a musical score. I PROMISE!
I'd like to apologize to Fashion Blooms for the very late blog post. I was supposed to have the flower crown blogged last January but time seems to be lacking so I had to postpone it. But I hope this look makes up to it! This look is by far my favorite, everything is just perfect... from the headpiece down to the scenery. The photos turned out the way I wanted it and it's all because of my Daddy's amazing photography skills! Love you, pops.
Before I end this heart-felt post, I'd like you all to remember that you are the perfect moment. You make it happen, and do not wait for one to come on by. It is what YOU make it and make all your moments PERFECT because they are what you have. In short, do not live in the land of no and just be who you are. Go with your gut. You never know that maybe just maybe the wrong choices you make today might bring you to the right places tomorrow.

Style Inspiration: The Gypsy Queen
23 April 2014
Can we just talk about how gorgeous Vannessa Hudgens is in this bohemian/gypsy outfit at the Coachella event? I mean, not just this year's but for the past years she has attended the said event. Honestly, she's one of my guilty pleasures since God knows when. When she starred at High School Musical I've always been a fan of her bubbly and down to earth personality, I really enjoyed watching her do her craft. We haven't heard of her since Spring Break and honestly speaking I never thought she would evolve into this! I was in awe when I saw her pictures over the internet and I can truly say that she's on top of my style inspiration list.
This white on white look is going to be the biggest trend this year, I can feel it! I always wanted to try this look on but I fear that I might end up looking like I'm wearing a diaper over a tiny blouse. I guess losing a bit of my weight will help solve the problem. Hihihi
Oh this one... I think this was taken 2 years ago? and it's pretty apparent that her style is something to watch out for. I really dig the top plus the thigh necklace!
You could really tell by her actions that she has the heart of a bohemian/gypsy lady, she's free spirited and really doesn't care what people say. I guess if you want to pull off a certain style, you have to act like one too.
This is like her saying "bow down to the queen!" kidding aside, I just loooove this whole look. One thing about the bohemian/gypsy style is that it teaches you to experiment on colors and it normally doesn't go with the safe ones. "Whatever floats your boat" they say, as long as you can pull it off well, there's nothing to worry about. Just don't go on neon, neon then neutrals! A BIG NO NO.
This is my favorite look of her so far. I really love the dress plus her hair style, it suits her and she looks absolutely gorgeous. Her accessories matched well with the whole look plus the "bindi" helped too! Vannessa is not afraid to be herself which is readily apparent in her bohemian/gypsy interpretations. She's someone we all should look up too not because of her outside looks but her beautiful personality as well.
Here's a throwback article last year published by Candy Magazine: Saskia Sacro for Style Files and read about my style inspiration. And can I just add that I'm one of the Top 5 Style Files of 2013! You might want to read about that too here.

I'm Only Me When I'm With You
A lot happened this past few days and I would love to share with you the highlights for the week. The other day, Nicole and I visited our best friend in Taguig City. It feels great to hang out with them again after a long time! To be able to catch-up with each other's lives is just fun. We did tons of crazy activities in the house and one of them is fangirl over One Direction. Well, that's Saskia for you. Haha! We watched "This is Us" again after watching them for the nth time. Sang almost all their songs in the karaoke. Mary Grace and I even "converted" Nicole to the 1D fandom! That is one of the few nights I will treasure forever. Just having them beside me and forget about the stress around is what made everything dream-like. I don't how I would deal with the harsh reality of life without real friends.
My outfit for today speaks so much about friendship - colorful and varied. If not, then that's not real friendship. Friends are very important to have in life, close friends and not mere acquaintances. They are right below family, sometimes can be on level. Friends will always be there for you no matter what, the ones that truly care for you. They give the sense of belonging and assures you that you're not alone in this world. Sometimes they are the only family a person has. They cheer you up when you're sad, make you happier when you're happy or when you're just in the mood to chat about everything and nothing. Without friends, a person can feel lost. Being friendless can cause you to depression because you wouldn't have anyone to run to for help. Even family can be your best friends because you share your inner-most feelings with them having that trust it would stay there. A life without friends is like a flower without sun. The sun helps the flower to grow and show its true color, to be radiant and vibrant. Friends help you grow and make you feel expansive to enjoy life to the fullest. Friends... is a very important factor in a human beings life, cherish them and love them like you do yourself.
People often ask me "how come you have so many best friends? aren't you supposed to have only one best friend?". I thought about it too before but then isn't labeling your friends to "just friends, best friends and close friends" the same with your parent's having favoritism in the family? That is why I treat everyone equally and call them my best friends so as long as they don't betray my trust. I don't have high standards for choosing my best friend, I just like to have people around me who I can let steam off and rant about almost all the nonsense things, but in the end you know you love them and they love you back no matter what.
I don't want to make this post any lengthier than what it is, so now onto my outfit for the day... I love colors. Anything colorful makes me happy, it gives out a positive vibe and makes you radiate that appreciation for the goodness of life. Anyway, the blue cropped top I'm wearing here is from Forever 21 (kuddos to Nicole for lending me this!) I matched it with this ethnic high-waist shorts I bought from the thrift shop for 250 pesos then topped it off with my favorite wedge. What do you think of this look?
